We have a unique understanding of our client’s challenges and a product they love for its simplicity and focus (in fact, we’re the best rated SaaS tool in Germany - across any category 💜). awork helps them organize their teams and projects - so creatives have more time for their ideas and spend less time dealing with organisational chaos.

Having quickly become the de facto standard for agency planning in the German speaking markets, we’re now launching awork in the UK - and beyond!

Your Role as an International Account Executive

As part of our inbound sales team, your focus will be helping interested users see the value in awork’s unique planning methods and tools, turning leads into fans (and customers!). You’ll handle the process from an initial demo all the way to successful closing. Reporting to our CSO Jonas, you’ll collaborate closely with the rest of our sales team: Philipp (SDR), Felix, and Anna (AEs). You’ll also stay in regular contact with teammates from marketing, product development (engineering + design), and the broader customer team (success + support).

As the first member of the sales team to focus on our international business, you’ll handle clients mainly from the UK and Ireland. Your insights into that young market will be invaluable to awork’s launch in the region - giving this role a lot of entrepreneurial freedom. If you’re interested in the perspective of taking over a country team & organisation or translating your experience into the next international markets to become a go-to-market leader, this role is for you.

☝ Your Day-to-Day

  • Explain and advocate for awork: Use your expertise to show clients the value of awork, how to solve their challenges and win them over. Your efforts will directly impact company-wide goals and be part of our strategic internationalisation.
  • Develop strategies: Together with the sales and marketing teams, you’ll craft strategies to engage our target audience effectively, building our presence in the UK.
  • Optimize awork: You’ll stay in constant exchange with the product team to improve our tool and technology.
  • Improve the sales process: You’re proactive and driven to make processes more efficient and effective and especially adopt them to UK-specific requirements.
  • Customer retention: Collaborate with success and support teams to implement measures that keep customers happy and loyal in the long run.

🌟 What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience in B2B SaaS or B2B software sales, with a focus on new customer acquisition. Experience with our clients’ industries (professional services and creative agencies) is a bonus.
  • A hunter and entrepreneur by heart: You proactively seek ways to exceed targets while thinking on your feet. A new market means lots of opportunities - and the need to improvise where processes do not yet exist.
  • Hands-on experience across the entire sales process—from first contact to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Strong communication skills and presence: You’re confident engaging with a variety of contacts across our clients’ organisation.
  • High intrinsic motivation to challenge yourself and improve daily.
  • Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic: You easily build relationships.
  • Native English, German is a bonus but not a requirement.

Intro call

Nice to meet you! Following your application, the first step is a 30-minute call aimed at getting to know each other and aligning expectations for the role.

Role related interview

Round two! During this stage, you’ll meet the team lead and possibly some team members, to discuss your career, skills, and ideas. This will also involve revisiting a hands-on task that you completed before.

Meet the founders

The final step! In this stage, you will meet two of our founders and chat about our values, team cluture, the awork environment, and our overall vision.
